Our Belief in Mission

Building God’s Community Together

Our mission is...

to Equip the People of God to Serve Christ in the World

“Let all that you do be done in love.”

The Apostle Paul

Caring for God’s World

At Home

Covenant works with several mission agencies in Atlanta. Covenant co-founded Buckhead Christian Ministry, which provides emergency assistance to families in need. BCM now serves more than 8,500 people each year across 15 zip codes in Atlanta.

We also build houses each year with Habitat for Humanity, we volunteer at the Central Night Shelter for men experiencing homelessness, and we tutor Latino students from E. Rivers Elementary School through the LaAmistad After School Program.

And Abroad

Covenant works with a wide variety of mission partners around the world. We are proud supporters of the LaGonave Haiti Partnership, which is a group of Presbyterian, Episcopal, and independent churches working together to provide education, healthcare and establish long-term relationships with our sisters and brothers in Haiti.

Covenant sponsors mission co-workers Shelvis and Nancy Smith-Mather in South Sudan. Covenant also works with Heifer International and ChildSpring International.

We believe in...

professing our faith through living it out.

“In all things proclaim the love of God; if necessary, use words.”

St. Francis of Assisi

Living Out Our Faith

Covenant has a rich history of practicing a “mission of presence.” We work to develop long-term relationships, to listen, and to respond to the people in our sister communities in Atlanta and around the world – including our Haiti partnership on the island of LaGonave.
